Grass Tips and Facts
Grasses will constantly put out new blades to survive, they are in a constant state of renewal, its what
makes them able to regrow aftrer being grazed by cattle or mowed by us.
With creeping grasses the new growth will cover the old and when the rate of regrowth is faster than the rate of
decay then a thatch layer begins to form.
Be sure to check application rates on the labels of the fertilizer you purchase and do not
exceed recommended quantities. Don’t fall victim to the, “well if a little bit is good for it, then a lot must be
much better” approach when applying fertilizer. Excess fertilizer quantities does not help your lawn, it hurts
your lawn. So follow directions carefully when applying lawn grass fertilizers.
